Parktown Boys Initiation Incident:
20th August 2009
At this court appearance, the twelve Parktown Boys High School matriculant’s heard that their court case had been postponed until the 10th December 2009. The case was heard in camera as some of the boys are under the age of 18 – only their parents and the social workers involved were allowed into the court room. The social workers had compiled reports on the twelve matriculants and these have been handed in to the magistrate. Initially it appeared as though the matric pupils would be offered a diversion program although it now appears as if the case may go to trial.
